Our first Have a Heart Appeal in March 2010 was an amazing success, raising over £307,000 for Starlight Children’s Foundation.

- …provide 101 new Have a Heart Starlight Fun Centres to hospitals and hospices across the Heart Network. Starlight Fun Centres are mobile entertainment units which can be wheeled to a child’s bedside, and contain the latest flatscreen TV, blu-ray player, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS consoles. For a child that’s going through the lonely and sometimes frightening experience of being away from their family, Starlight Fun Centres provide an escape that really does bring a smile to their faces.
- …grant over 60 more magical Starlight wishes. Wishes are as varied as a child’s imagination, and whether they want to meet their favourite celebrity or sports star, or do something they’ve always wanted to, Starlight make their wish come true. During the Have a Heart Appeal we made wishes come true for poorly children to meet JLS, go behind-the-scenes at Dancing On Ice, and go for a family holiday to Disneyland. This is just the start of what Starlight can now achieve thanks to the money YOU helped us raise.
Our Have a Heart Appeal Day featured appearances from JLS, Pixie Lott, Alexandra Burke and Sharleen Spiteri to name just a few. Plus we auctioned some amazing lots, including meeting Alicia Keys in Marseille, meeting Michael Buble in Paris and fantastic holidays to Antigua, St Lucia and Jordan.
