What Makes Our Heart Presenters Feel Good?
It's Feel Good Friday! To celebrate, we teamed up with Dr Cliff Arnall who devised a formula which calculated that TODAY is the happiest Friday of the year! Now, your favourite Heart presenters have revealed all the things that really make them happy.
1. Mark Wright loves a good a kick about.
I’ve loved football for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been lucky enough to play alongside some absolute legends. Whether it’s Soccer Aid or a game of five-a-side with the lads, there’s no better feeling than getting out there and working together as a team. I’m a massive West Ham fan and it’d be my dream to be England manager for just one day. I’d say my dream five-a-side team would have to be Buffon in goal, myself and John Terry at the back, Beckham in midfield and Messi up front!
2. Emma Bunton says sweet treats make her feel good.
“I have the sweetest tooth – you know what they say, sugar and spice, all things nice! Sweets remind me of seaside holidays with my parents – walking along the pier, getting messy in the sand and splashing in the sea always made me feel good, and now I’m doing the same things all over again with my own children!”
3. Gethin Jones loves a good morning pick me up.
“I love a coffee to start the day. It puts a spring in the step, which is good if I'm planning on doing a bit of training first thing! I enjoy making it for other people as much as I do drinking it. I’m actually training to be a barista, and planning a trip to Ethiopia later this year to learn about coffee farming and meet some of the people behind it. There’s an art to making the perfect coffee, in fact, coffee itself is now an art! It’s a balance of the right beans, temperature and timing."
4. Jenni Falconer says balloons remind her of childhood parties.
“For me balloons are synonymous with family parties and bring back so many happy childhood memories. They just have a way of making everyone happy and putting a smile on your face, regardless of your age. My daughter loves them, which is great because it gives me an excuse to indulge in some fun too.”
