Sainsbury's Glasgow Summer Grand Prix

Sainsbury's Summer series Bigger Faster Better Sainsbury's Glasgow Grand Prix comes to Hampden Park on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July 2014.

For the first time since 1968, Glasgow will host the Sainsbury’s Glasgow Grand Prix, as the prestigious IAAF Diamond League which usually takes place in London, comes to our National Stadium.

In the same year that we host the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Sainsbury’s Glasgow Grand Prix, which is one of the Sainsbury’s Summer Series of events, will feature show-stopping performances as some of the best athletes in the world come to town.

British Athletics has already confirmed that double world and Olympic champion Mo Farah and world 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu will be amongst the world’s biggest names competing in the prestigious two day event as well as Scotland’s own Eilidh Child!
