Police have recovered £15,000 of drugs at a prison.
An intelligence-led inquiry, a joint operation with the Scottish Prison Service, recovered a ''significant quantity'' of heroin at HMP Perth.
The drugs were recovered on Thursday and are said to have an illicit value of around £15,000.
A 26-year-old man will be reported to the procurator fiscal following the seizure.
Police Scotland Sergeant Dave Rice said: ''We will continue to take action to tackle drug-related criminality and work with partner agencies to reduce harm in our communities.''
HMP Perth is a male-only prison which houses offenders from Perth and the surrounding areas.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Prison Service said: ''We work closely with Police Scotland to prevent any contraband in prisons. We cannot comment on individuals concerned.''
