9-Month-Old Found Seriously Hurt in Glasgow

Police are investigating after a nine-month-old baby girl was taken to hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.

Officers were alerted after the child, who is in a serious but stable condition, was admitted to the city's Royal Hospital for Sick Children from her home at Arnprior Road in the Castlemilk area at around 4pm on Friday.

The baby girl has been named locally as Maira Ahmed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of her injuries.
