Scotland's police force has delivered ''substantial improvements'' in the way it conducts, records and monitors its stop and search activity, according to a new report.
A74 Crash Kills Two People
Two people have been killed in an early morning crash on a motorway.
The driver and passenger died at the scene following the one-car collision near J21 of the A74(M) at Gretna in Dumfries and Galloway, police said.
The road was closed southbound after the crash which happened at around 6am today.
No further details about the two people have been released.
A police spokesman said: "Police and emergency services responded to reports of a one-vehicle crash on the A74 southbound shortly after 6am.
"The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
"All lanes running southbound are closed for police inquiries and diversions have been put in place.''
