Andy Coulson Perjury Trial Date Set
The perjury trial of former Downing Street director of communications Andy Coulson in Scotland is now to be begin after the General Election.
The 47-year-old is accused of committing perjury in the 2010 trial of former MSP Tommy Sheridan.
In a hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh in February, Judge Lord Burns set a date for a trial to begin on April 21st but the Judiciary of Scotland today announced a new trial date of May 11th.
A tweet from the Judges Scotland account read: "HMA v Andrew Edward Coulson: new trial date set for 11 May 2015 at 10am in Edinburgh High Court.''
A police watchdog probe was launched after the remains of the 52-year-old were found in a house in Dumfries in February last year.
The accident happened at about 7.50pm on Thursday in Moodiesburn, North Lanarkshire.
More than 70 firefighters were needed to bring the blaze under control at Blochairn Fruit Market in the early hours of Thursday.
