Around 70 firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a former primary school.
Crews were called to the former St James Primary School near Porterfield Road in Renfrew at around 8.30pm.
They arrived to find a well developed fire in the single storey building measuring approximately 100 yards by 30 yards, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said.
The crews are still at the scene using large volume water jets and aerial appliances to fight the fire.
No further information was available at the time.
