A body has been identified as that of a missing priest from Edinburgh.
Body Found In Burn Thought To Be Missing Man
A body found in a burn is believed to be that of a man missing for more than six weeks.
George McCarrick, 31, was last seen on CCTV in Glen Loy in Darnley, Glasgow, on August 14.
A body was recovered from the Brock Burn in Darnley at around 10.10am on Monday.
Mr McCarrick's family have been told of the discovery.
The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
A police spokesman said: "A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
"Formal identification is yet to take place, however the body is understood to be that of missing man George McCarrick. Relatives have been informed.''
