Edinburgh Schools Evacuated After Bomb Threats
Two schools in Edinburgh have been evacuated after bomb threats.
Pupils at Royal High School and Tynecastle High were led out of classrooms earlier.
A similar threat was made at Boroughmuir High School but pupils weren't asked to leave.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "“Two schools in Edinburgh have been evacuated following threats being made to three schools via telephone."
“Officers are currently in attendance and are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this."
Hoax alerts were made at schools in Glasgow earlier.
A police spokesperson in Glasgow said: "Two schools in Glasgow have received a threat via the telephone. Staff and police have searched the school buildings and nothing untoward was found. Schools are operating as normal and officers are continuing enquiries."
Bomb threats have been made at six schools in Birmingham this morning.
Police in Paris and Sydney are investigating similar threats.

Police and other emergency services were called to a property in Redburn, Bonhill, Alexandria, at about 12.30am on Tuesday.
Charities say the stage it's diagnosed is crucial.
