Four-Month-Old Baby Death 'Unexplained'

Police are investigating the death of a baby from West Dunbartonshire.

The four-month-old was taken to hospital from an address in Balloch, but died at the Royal Alexandra in Paisley on the 15th of February.

A post mortem examination was carried out and now officers are treating the death as 'unexplained'.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 10.30am on Wednesday, February 15, police were informed of a four-month old baby from Dumbain Crescent, Balloch, having died within the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

"Following a post mortem examination officers are treating the death as unexplained. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing."
