Four Taken To Hospital After Strathaven Crash
Four people were taken to hospital after a serious road accident in South Lanarkshire.
The accident, which involved a Seat Leon and a Dacia Logan, occurred at 8.50am on Sunday on the A71 at Drumclog, Strathaven.
A 46-year-old woman who was driving the Seat was taken to Wishaw General Hospital, where her condition is described as stable.
Her two passengers, a 12-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man, were also taken to the same hospital but they have since been released.
The 59-year-old male driver of the Dacia was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock, and allowed to go home after treatment.
Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses following the accident.
Constable David Foster said: "It is important that we speak to anyone who witnessed the crash to establish the full circumstances of what happened.''
The figures were highlighted by Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale during First Minister's Questions.
The "queen of funk'' will perform live with a full band at the Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow.
The case was expected to continue on Thursday with the cross-examination of former Rangers owner Sir David Murray.
