Heart Investigation Discovers Kids DIY Tattoo Kits

4 April 2016, 13:41

A Heart News investigation has found children as young as 10 are able to tattoo themselves with kits available online.

The do-it-yourself tattoo needles can be bought for as little as £25.

The kits can be ordered online thus avoiding any age checks, prompting some people to call for their sale to be regulated.

Health experts say DIY tattooing can transmit HIV and Hepatitis C.

Heart reporter Connor Gillies spoke to Victoria, who got a tattoo when she was a student in Glasgow.

She has told us how the dodgy tattoo parlour used the wrong type of needle.
