Man Charged With Flat Murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a man was found dead at a flat seven months ago.

The body of Christopher Gilruth, 52, was discovered in the property in Roseburn Terrace, Edinburgh, on May 11.

Andrew Harvey, 34, was charged with murder when he appeared in private on petition at the city's sheriff court today, the Crown Office said.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

Mr Harvey, from Edinburgh, is expected back in court next week.
