Police have launched an investigation after a 19-year-old woman was the victim of a serious sexual assault in Edinburgh.
Man Killed, Woman Hurt As Car Hits Two Pedestrians Near Edinburgh
A man has died and a woman is in a serious condition in hospital after they were struck by a car.
The two pedestrians were hit by a blue Mini on the B800 near Dalmeny, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, at around noon on Monday.
The man, understood to be aged in his 60s, died at the scene. The woman, in her 50s, was taken to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary.
Police Scotland said they are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information that can help with the investigation.
Road policing sergeant Denise Humphrey said: ''Sadly a man has lost his life in this incident and a woman is in a serious condition in hospital.
''I would ask anyone with information who has not already spoken to us, to please get in touch.''
