A man found hurt following a caravan fire has died in hospital.
The blaze at Peacockbank Farm in Stewarton last Thursday has been linked with the death of a woman at a house in the East Ayrshire town on the same day.
Police launched a murder inquiry after the body of Andrena Douglas, 53, was found at her home in Crusader Crescent.
The man who died following the fire has been named as Henry Galbraith, 50, Ms Douglas's partner.
A Police Scotland spokesman said officers were following a "definite line of inquiry'' and that a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with either incident.
