Man Shot In Edinburgh
A man's been left with serious leg injuries after being shot in Leith.
It happened in Cables Wynd just after 11pm last night.
The man, who's in his 20s, is being treated at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward immediately.
DI Alan O'Brien of Edinburgh CID said: "An extensive investigation is now underway into this incident. Although this is at an early stage I'm satisfied this was an isolated attack and there is no ongoing threat to the wider public.
"An area of Cables Wynd is presently cordoned off as our investigation progresses and I thank the local community for their patience and cooperation.
"I can also reassure local residents that we will use every resource at our disposal to trace and arrest anyone involved in this crime as quickly as possible.''
Craig Whyte's offer to buy Rangers Football Club seemed to be a "viable proposition'', a court has heard.
The victim was shot on the 9th of March.
