Man Charged After Alleged Stabbing Outside Edinburgh Theatre

A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing outside a theatre in Edinburgh.

A 41-year-old man was attacked as he stood in an alcove of the King's Theatre in Tarvit Street at around 9.45pm on Thursday.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where his condition was not thought to be life threatening.

Police Scotland are treating the attack as an attempted murder and confirmed one man has been charged in connection with the incident.

The 42-year-old is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
