Murray Photographer Dies After Fall

A press photographer has died after falling at Andy Murray's wedding rehearsal.

Tributes have been paid to Gordon Jack who was taken to hospital after an accident which happened as photographers captured Murray arriving at Dunblane Cathedral on Friday.

Writing on Twitter, Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "Totally devastated to hear about the death of Gordon Jack. A lovely man and a great photographer. My thoughts with his family and colleagues.''

The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) Scotland tweeted: "Our condolences to the wife and children of Gordon Jack who has died after a fall at Dunblane Cathedral covering Andy Murray's wedding.''

The Scottish Ambulance Service and a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crew from Dunblane attended the cathedral at around 4.38pm.

Mr Jack, in his 40s, was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert but died on Saturday.
