Newborn Baby Girl Dead In Fife

The death of a three-week-old baby girl at a house in Fife is being treated as unexplained.

Police Scotland were called to an address in Kinloss Crescent, Cupar, in the early hours of Saturday morning after concern was raised for the newborn.

She was subsequently pronounced dead and officers are investigating the circumstances.

A force spokesman said: "Police in Fife were called to an address in Kinloss Crescent, Cupar, around 5am on Saturday October 22 following the death of a three-week old baby girl.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained pending further inquiries and report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.''
