OAP Women in hospital after Fife crash

Two elderly pedestrians have been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

The incident happened on Thursday at about 9.35am on Scoonie Road, Leven, Fife.

Police said a Honda Civic being driven by a 35-year-old woman crashed into the back of a parked Ford B-Max, which then collided with two pedestrians and a wall.

The female pedestrians, aged 91 and 72, were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy along with the driver of the Honda.

It is understood their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was temporarily closed but reopened at about 12.30pm when both vehicles had been recovered.
