Parking Ticket Woman Starts JustGiving Appeal
Mairi Holden's Facebook post went viral after she told her story of a random act of kindness by a stranger.
She got two tickets in Edinburgh after parking her pink Honda Jazz on a single yellow line while her young son was being treated at Sick Kids.
Mairi wants to thank the good Samaritan in person.
She wrote: "Would love to find out who did this! I'm still in a lovely feeling of shock!!
"Oscar had to stay in Sick Kids hospital, Edinburgh last night, which was really unexpected. (He's all good now).Parked outside not thinking we'd be kept in. Came out to 2 parking tickets this afternoon...
"Some amazing person, don't know who, left this note and money tucked under one of the tickets!!
I'm still overwhelmed at the kindness of it. I'll never forget it, and if anyone has any idea of who it could have been, or recognises the writing or note paper, please let me know, I'd love to be able to thank them!"
She's now created a JustGiving page to raise money for the Royal Hospital For Sick Children, Edinburgh.
William Burns posed as a postman.
Police and other emergency services were called to a property in Redburn, Bonhill, Alexandria, at about 12.30am on Tuesday.
Charities say the stage it's diagnosed is crucial.
