A body has been found in a river as part of a search for a man missing for almost a week.
Jamie McCulloch, 27, disappeared in Lanark on Sunday August 27.
Police Scotland said officers recovered the body of a man from the River Clyde near to the town's Kirkfield Bank shortly after midday on Friday.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the body is believed to be that of Mr McCulloch, officers said. His family has been told.
The force said in a statement: "A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the death is being treated as unexplained."
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
