Teen Killed In Argyll Road Crash

A teenage girl has died after a two-car crash in Argyll and Bute.

Asten Jones, 18, was killed as a result of the collision at about 1.20pm on Sunday in Kilmun.

She had been driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the A815 when it appears the car lost control and hit a Vauxhall Vectra being driven by a 47 year-old man.

Ms Jones was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where she later died.

The other driver was uninjured.

Police said that Ms Jones's relatives are aware of the incident and a full report is being sent to the procurator fiscal.
