A teenager has been arrested in connection with the robbery of an elderly woman in her own home more than two months ago.

Three males escaped with money following the incident in Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, East Renfrewshire, on Monday April 10.

One week later, police stopped and questioned motorists and passers-by on the road between 4.30pm and 6pm in the hope of jogging people's memories.

Police said that a 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The teenager is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday.
