Woman Arrested Over Police Officer Murder Bid
A woman has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of two on-duty police officers.
The incident happened in Blackburn, West Lothian, as the two male officers responded to a report of concern for a person on Thursday.
One officer suffered minor injuries after being struck by a black Mini Cooper on Hopefield Drive. He was taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston as a precaution
The other officer was not hit by the car during the incident, which happened shortly after 4pm.
Police Scotland said a 46-year-old woman has been arrested and charged and was expected to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court.
Chief Inspector Barry Blair, the area commander for West Lothian, said: "This is an extremely serious incident and we are eager to establish full circumstances surrounding it.
"Anyone who was in the Hopefield Drive area on the evening of Thursday October 13 and witnessed the incident is asked to come forward immediately.''

The discovery was made at a house in Cupar on Saturday morning.
Police are investigating after a young boy was left needing stitches when he was hit on the head with a bottle on his way to Hampden.
