Young Girls Hit By Car In Glasgow

A 12-year-old girl has been seriously injured after being knocked down in Glasgow.

Police said the 12-year-old and a 13-year-old girl were hit by a vehicle on Great Western Road at Kelvinbridge.

Both casualties were taken to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The 12-year-old girl has serious injuries and the 13-year-old girl is in a stable condition.''

Investigations into the incident, which happened shortly before 5pm on Wednesday, continue.
