Kids from Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland

The event will raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise - giving small charities a voice and this year in Scotland Global's Make Some Noise are supporting two amazing causes:

Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland– Spina Bifida is a developmental disorder that arises in pregnancy. The majority of babies affected are born paralysed from the waist down and affected by bowel and bladder dysfunction. They will be lifelong wheelchair users and require lifelong support.

The charity provides specialist support and information including pregnancy support, medical self-management, benefits and financial assistance, support for carers, independent living, specialist equipment, emotional development, housing and adaptions advice, education and bereavement support.

The Yard– The Yard welcomes children and young people with a wide variety of disabilities including Autism, Down’s Syndrome, learning difficulties and physical or sensory impairments. It offers family play sessions, teen youth clubs for disabled teenagers, social clubs, football clubs for disabled children and young people.

The charity also delivers training to organisations across the city on disability awareness and inclusive play, and creates a space for parents and carers to meet and build support networks. Parents can share their experiences of bringing up disabled children while siblings can play in a supported setting.

So please get your tickets here and help us raise money for those amazing charities.
