The singer has answered fashion designer Karl Lagerfield, who said she was 'a little too fat'.

The Chanel designer made the comments in an interview with Metro New York, but he did go on to say the Someone Like You star had a 'beautiful face'.

Speaking in a new interview with People magazine, Adele said she felt comfortable in her own skin and believed she represented the majority of women.

'I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines,' she said. 'I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that.'

Adele will be making her first live appearance at the Grammys on Sunday after being forced to cancel tour dates in the UK and America last year due to an issue with her vocal chords.
