Adele, who gave birth last October thanked her own mum, Penny, in true style for her continued encouragement in helping her daughter become one of the world's biggest stars.

The six-time-Grammy Award-winning-artist has given her mother a beautiful apartment worth over £600,000 in the trendy London neighbourhood of Notting Hill. 

Forty-four year old Penny raised her daughter in a tiny flat and held down two jobs, and now her daughter has gone on to achieve incredible global success.

Adele reportedly already owns several impressive properties, including a £5.6million home in North London, a £2.5million house in Brighton and £1.1million apartment in south-west London.
