The video was directed by Jake Nava, was shot in black and white in New York City, at the same time as 'Single Ladies'.

The video begins with Knowles and her love interest saying a few words – "intimacy," "honesty," "commitment" – and then they start saying the words – "You." "Me." "Us."

We then see Knowles getting ready for work as a New York cop and leaving her 'supportive' husband at home. However, we eventually see that the roles have been reversed and it is Beyonce that is the unappreciated supportive wife...
