George Michael has confirmed that he will be playing at the Olympics closing ceremony this Sunday!
George Michael's charity 'race'
George Michael is in a race against time to be fit to perform at the 'Keep a Child Alive Black Ball'.
George was due to give the charity performance on Wednesday evening, alongside Alicia Keys but says his cheek looks like a "hairy football".
Alicia founded the charity and will be hosting the event but will George be able to perform? Well here's what's he's been tweeting from his sick bed,
"On the weekend, got some kind of infection in my lower jaw and the left side of my face now resembles a hairy football. I look like Marlon Brando ( I wish....) in the Godfather if they forgot to stuff the right cheek!.
"Anyway the point is I dont know if it will clear up in time for Wednesdays Black Ball Charity event with Alicia Keys... Which would be terrible, I don't want to let down the charity, which is excellent, and I would love to sing with Alicia, shes wonderful.... (sic)."
George has promised to give his fans regular updates.
The ball raises money to help families living with HIV and AIDS in Africa and India.
