Katy Perry equals MJ's record

Katy Perry is the third act in history to have at least six top-five hits from one album on the U.S. chart.

‘The One That Got Away’ currently sits at no. 4, following her previous five singles from her album Teenage Dream: California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T. and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) all topped the chart.

Teenage Dream equals the achievements of George Michael’s Faith album, only just trailing Janet Jackson, whose Rhythm Nation produced seven top-five singles. Should The One That Got Away manage to take the no.1 spot, Teenage Dream will pass a record held by Michael Jackson’s Bad LP, and become the first album to produce an incredible six Hot 100 no. 1s.

Teenage Dream is reportedly close to achieving triple platinum status in the UK.
