Katy Perry ready to take on Michael Jackson

Singer may join King of Pop in most number one singles from same album record

If Katy's current single "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" goes to number 1, it will be the fifth track from the same album to achieve the top of the chart status.

The last artist to have five number ones from the same album was Michael Jackson with 1987's "Bad".

"Last Friday Night (TGIF)" is currently at number 4 of the US charts, but insiders say that it could easily reach number 1 at the end of the week.

Teenage Dream, California Gurls, Fireworks and E.T. from Katy's album Teenage Dream have all reached top spot in the charts.

If Katy gets a fifth number 1, she'll be the first female musician in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to achieve this milestone.
