Lady Gaga ends Adele's run
Lady Gaga's new album 'Born This Way' has debuted at No 1 in the album charts.
That means Adele's '21' sixteen week stay at the top is over.
Lady Gaga's second studio album sold 215,000 copies in its first week - that was more than the rest of the Top 10 combined.
The Bad Romance star said: ''I feel so honoured to have the highest first week sales in the UK this year. I wrote the album's first single Born This Way in Manchester because I was so inspired by the confidence and bravery characteristic of my fans: Little Monsters. To the United Kingdom, thank you for believing in me.''
However, Adele still has plenty to smile about. '21' is second in the chart and '19' is third. Lady Gaga's debut album is still selling well - The Fame is at No 7.
