Lady Gaga joins 'World's 100 Most Powerful Women'

She's also beaten the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie in the list.

The Edge of Glory star was placed in 11th place, which was compiled by Forbes, and thus has been named the 'Most powerful celebrity.'

"It's a title she's made good on both in dollar signs and massive constituency", the magazine said in a statement.

"She raked in $90 million over the past year. In July, Gaga became the first Twitter user to reach 12 million followers... [and] her Facebook page has 36 million fans."

Other notable entries include Oprah Winfrey (14th), Beyoncé (18th) and Angelina Jolie (34th).

No entertainment-based stars made it into the top ten, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel earning top-spot, Hilary Clinton taking second and First Lady Michelle Obama rounding off the top three.
