Lady Gaga surprised punters in trendy Plaza Hotel's Oak Room and Bar in New York City with an impromptu gig.
The singer joined jazz musician friend Brian Newman, who was already scheduled to perform, and entertained onlookers with two renditions of jazz classics Someone To Watch Over Me by George Gershwin and Orange Coloured Sky by Nat King Cole.
Gaga was wearing rather unusual makeup, prompting some to question whether it really was her, but once she started singing there was no doubt it was her.
The popstar was at the Oak Room with boyfriend Luc Carl and the two enjoyed a drink after the unscheduled gig.
