Madonna's corset fetches £45,000

The 24 year old bustier exceeded auction expectations

The corset worn by Madonna during her first world tour has been auctioned off in China for £45,000, more than £40,000 more than expected.

The costume, made by Los Angeles based label Trashy Lingerie was made especially for her Who's That Girl tour in 1987.

The Julian's Auction, called Legends, also saw a signed copy of Madonna's book Sex sell for £2,000 but was value at just over £500.

Emmy awards and recordings were also sold for a greater amount than previously expected.
