Matt Cardle - When We Collide
After his triumph on X-Factor, this cover of a Biffy Clyro song bagged Matt the coveted Christmas No.1 spot.
Matt faced stiff competition for top spot, with Rihanna's 'What's My Name?' and Ellie Goulding's 'Your Song' pushing him all the way. Biffy Clyro's 'Many of Horror', the original version, also re-entered the charts at number 8 but Matt's re-named version was triumphant.
There was a similar campaign to oust the X-Factor winner from top spot - last year it was Rage Against The Machine's 'Killing in the Name of' and this year being 'Surfin Bird' by The Trashmen - the latter being unsuccessful.
