Robbie Williams' album shortlist

Robbie is deciding which songs to put onto his upcoming solo album.

Chris Briggs, Robbie's friend and mentor has traveled to LA to help compile a tracklist of the songs he's already recorded.

Robbie respects Chris' opinion massively, he introduced him to songwriter Guy Chambers, the man that went on to co-write his massive hit Angels.

Williams then went on to sell over 57 million records and had 7 UK number 1's, thus why he trusts Chris' advice of anyone else's.

"Rob has been really productive so there's lots for him and Chris to go through. Rob will take on board any guidance Chris gives, a source told The Sun.

It's unknown which label Robbie will be releasing the album under as his £80million deal with EMI has come to an end but reports suggest only giants such as Sony and Universal would be able to front the cost.

Rob blogged: "We've an embarrassment of riches for singles... happy days."
