Take That's scrap raises thousands

Take That's massive metal statue from their recent Progress tour has raised £13,500 for charity.

The statue, seen by thousands of fans during this summer's tour, was dubbed The Big Man. One of the band's roadies came up with the idea of selling it as scrap metal.

It ended up raising £13,500 for Trinity Hospice, near the roadie's home in Blackpool.
