Ever Wondered Why Snape Hated Neville Longbottom So Much? Here's Your Answer!
Poor Neville always took the brunt of Snape's anger and one clever fan may have worked out why..
Severus Snape is Hogwart's token villain.
He's the teacher that we all loved to hate throughout the series next to only the Dark Lord himself.
This was only until we found out he had been Team Good Guy the whole time thanks to his unrequited love for Harry's mother Lily who was killed by Voldemort along with James Potter when Harry was a young baby - resulting in that infamous scar.

But despite all the revelations, we were still left wondering why on earth the potions master had so much disdain for poor old Neville!
An eagle eyed fan has come up with a pretty convincing theory as to why.
In the books Albus Dumbledore explains the following to Harry which helps clear some things up...
'‘The odd thing, Harry,’ he said softly, ‘is that it may not have meant you at all. Sybill’s prophecy could have applied to two wizard boys, both born at the end of July that year, both of whom had parents in the Order of the Phoenix, both sets of parents having narrowly escaped Voldemort three times. One, of course, was you. The other was Neville Longbottom.’
So perhaps Snape hated Neville so much because if it has been HIS parents who Voldemort targeted, his beloved Lily would still be alive!
J.K Rowling is still yet to confirm but we think that makes a whole load of sense!
Let's say the scene has had "mixed reviews".
