James Corden 'upset' about cutting Adele off

The funny man has admitted his frustration at being forced to interrupt Adele's acceptance speech at the BRIT Awards 2012.

The 33-year-old host was told to end Adele's speech after she won the coveted Mastercard Album of the Year gong to enable Blur to play their set.

'Nothing makes me prouder than coming here with six Grammys,' said the songstress before being interrupted.

'I'm so proud to be British and flying the flag.'

Corden then approached Adele, apologetically interjecting, 'I am so sorry and I can't believe I'm about to cut you off. I'm so sorry.'

'I was having the best night of my life but then I had to cut Adele off before she had a chance to say thank you,' he admitted to Keith Lemon.

'She's the biggest star in the world.'

Adele also collected the Best British Female gong.
