Anne Hathaway joins Les Misérables movie cast
Anne joins Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe in the highly-anticipated adaptation.
The 28-year old will play Fantine, a woman that resorts to prostitution to save her daughter and sings the early showstopper I Dreamed a Dream .
Hathaway will join confirmed cast members Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, who will portray Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert respectively in the recreation of the Victor Hugo novel and stage musical.
Helena Bonham Carter is starring in the film as well, playing Madame Thenardier, and rounds off a stellar cast that, rumour has it, may yet have some more high-profile additions.
Les Misérables is expected to begin filming early next year and will open in cinemas in December, 2012.
