After landing a small part in TV show 'Happy Days' as Mork, the producers and director were so impressed, with Williams in mind they created 'Mork & Mindy', a TV comedy about a loveable alien (Williams) who comes to earth to study human life and falls in love with a woman, Mindy (Pam Dawber). The show was a huge success and won many awards. Williams' career took off in no time.
The actor shone in his role as Adrian Cronauer, an irreverent radio DJ stationed in Vietnam during the war, in 1987 film 'Good Morning Vietnam'.
In 1989 the actor played the inspiring Keating who teaches his students to 'Carpe Diem' - seize the moment - and follow their dreams.

One of Williams' most memorable roles was of that of Mrs. Doubtfire in the eponymous 1993 film, in which he plays a father who poses as a housekeeper to spend time with his children after his wife divorces him.
The actor had a knack for playing inspiring adults. He was simply superb as Sean Maguire, the psychologist who helps janitor Will Hunting, played by Matt Damon, develop his gift for maths. Williams won a Supporting Actor Academy Award for the role.
The brilliant star was given the award in 2005 to celebrate his extraordinary acting career.
