7. Adrian Moorhouse talks medals
Adrian Moorhouse knows all about winning a Gold medal. The British former swimmer won the 100 m breaststroke at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. . 'When I was 12, I was inspired by watching David Wilkie win the Gold in 1976. I saw him win on TV, and I thought "wow, I want to do that" - it connected my dream to reality in a way,' says Adrian. 'Our medallists need to share their experience and talk about it, show everyone that it's ordinary people doing extraordinary things,' explains Adrian. 'Then kids will say, "oh it could be me, maybe if i work harder and commit myself i really can do it".'
