David Beckham has turned tour guide and created a list of 'must see and do' things if you are visiting the UK during the Olympics next month. How many can you tick off the list?
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations have just passed, so there's really no better time to visit one of the most iconic buildings these shores have to offer! 'Buckingham Palace is in the heart of London and it's been the scene of so many great moments in British history - none of us will ever forget the amazing wedding last year,' says David.
David says eating pie and mash is 'an insider's tip for a real East London food experience', and insists 'you've got to try pie and mash.' Posting this photo on Facebook, the LA Galaxy star wrote: 'As I'm sure you would have expected, I had a pie and mash lunch today with my mum. There is nothing better.' Photo: Facebook
In the guide, which is for the UK tourism agency VisitBritain, Becks suggests visiting one of the football stadiums he loved playing at. David made his name at Manchester United in the 1990s and represented England a record 115 times, often as captain. It's no surprise to see David suggesting visits to two of the nation's greatest sporting stadiums!
Even when it's raining, we have some of the most beautiful parks in the world. David Beckham thinks it's a great idea to 'get out in the fresh air at one of London's Royal Parks.' What are you waiting for?
It's no secret that footballers love a bit of golf, and Becks is no different. 'where the game was invented'.

All over the world, Harry Potter is synonymous with Britain, so why not take the opportunity to visit where the films were set? Alternately, Becks draws upon his experience as a dad when it comes to theme parks. 'Kids can't get enough of theme parks as I know being a father of four.'
In the list, compiled for a smartphone 'app', David describes London's theatre scene as the 'one thing you can't miss'. 'I love going out with the family to a show,' he said, adding that the Lion King show is something 'young and old will love'. Have you seen it?
For a great atmosphere and a fine dining experience for an affordable cost, David recommends both Cecconis or NOPI in London.
'Britain is famous for its countryside,' says the 37-year-old football ace, and its hard to disagree. David suggests a 'bracing walk' in our green pastures, followed by a rest next to a log fire in a country pub. Picture: Rex Features
