Daniel Radcliffe says his 'Harry Potter' co-star Emma Watson was “a bit of an animal” when they filmed a kiss for the new movie.
Emma plays clever witch Hermione Granger in the wizard franchise and was required to lock lips with both Daniel and Rupert Grint for 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', which has been split into two films. Daniel was expecting to share a timid smooch with Emma and was shocked when she threw herself into the scene with passionate enthusiasm.
“I was ambushed by that, I was not expecting that. I thought it was going to be this soft, sensual moment and then suddenly this vigorous kissing was happening to me,” Daniel laughed. “She is a bit of an animal! But I am not complaining, there are tens of thousands of men who would cut off their limbs to be in that position.”
The 21-year-old star also revealed Rupert found the romantic scene hysterical and had to walk away from the set because he couldn’t stop laughing.
Daniel is thrilled with the way the new film has turned out and has promised fans to expect something “different” from the latest installment. He also confessed he was relieved his character had left his school days at Hogwarts behind because it allowed him to wear more fashionable clothes. Daniel admits spending most of his time in a school uniform had an adverse effect on his love life.
“I am feeling pretty good, I am happier with this film than I have been with any of the others. I am pleased, it’s very different – there is no Hogwarts, no school uniform, thank God!” He added. “I spent the last six years of my life trying to chat up women while wearing a school uniform, it was terrible.”
