The cast is older, David Lynch is less edgy and Laura Palmer is still dead, but we need Twin Peaks now more than ever.
Natalie Portman to play Snow White
Natalie Portman is rumoured to be interested in playing an “edgy” Snow White.
The 29-year-old actress is considered as one of Hollywood’s most talented stars, and recently critics have been suggesting she may receive an Oscar nomination for her role in new thriller Black Swan, where she plays a professional ballerina.
The actress is known for her non-conformist movie choices, and has often shied away from appearing in box-office blockbusters to appear in more artistic films instead.
The latest project Natalie is rumoured to want to get involved with is playing the fairytale character Snow White, in a dark and “edgy” re-telling of the tale which appears in the Brothers Grimm 19th-century book of children’s stories.
It is believed the movie will be directed by iconic French arthouse moviemaker Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who was the man behind the international hit movie 'Amelie' starring Audrey Taotou.
Natalie has worked with French directors in the past, and made her acting debut in the 1994 French action film 'Léon'.
Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay has confessed she has had an eating disorder since she was 14-years-old.
Jake Gyllenhaal is re-teaming with Life director Daniel Espinosa in a drama about an American who joins the war in Syria.
Irreverent comedian Amy Schumer has announced she will no longer star in a live-action Barbie film scheduled for next year.
