The Twilight star has confessed that he can't stand his nickname.

Since the 26-year-old actor shot to fame after his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the hugely successful Twilight saga, his adoring fans have taken to shortening his name to R-Patz.

'When I got this part, every single article that came out was, "R-Patz's straggle for credibility!",' confessed the Hollywood hunk to the Guardian.

'I don't understand who invented that thing, "R-Patz",' continued Robert, before joking: 'I want to strangle them!'

Robert Pattinson has finished filming for the Twilight saga's conclusion, 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2'.

'The last shot we did was us kissing in the sea and at the time I thought, "Wow, that is a nice way to end it,"' teased the star.

'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' will be released in cinemas Nationwide on November 16th.
